Vincent Carr is Associate Professor of Music of Organ at The Jacobs School of Music of Indiana University in Bloomington. He leads an eclectic musical career with interests in sacred choral music, contemporary American organ repertoire, musical theatre, chamber music, and global popular music. Carr earned Bachelor’s degrees in organ performance and Spanish from Indiana University, and a Master’s Degree in Sacred Music from Yale University.
From 2006-to 2013, he served as Associate Organist at The Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Newark, New Jersey, and from 2013 to 2017, as Associate Organist-Choirmaster at The Cathedral of the Incarnation in Garden City, New York. He has performed and studied throughout the United States, Europe, and Latin America including Cuba. His program will include a variety of styles and composers, with something for everyone. A free-will offering will be received, and a socially distanced ice cream “meet and greet” will follow the concert.
